Our parish is served by 3 churches St Mary's in Penmark, St Curig’s in Porthkerry and St Peter’s in Rhoose. They offer a variety of worship from the traditional to the very modern, as you will see in “When and where”
Where are we?
The Parish is situated on the South Coast of the Vale of Glamorgan and lies between Barry and Llantwit Major. It contains the most southerly point in Wales – Rhoose Point. At its centre is the largest aircraft hangar in Europe, housing as it does three Jumbo jets side by side, where they are serviced, this belongs to the British Airways Maintenance base at Cardiff International Airport.
The population is in the region of 6,000 and growing with 500 new houses being built and almost all now occupied in and around the old quarry at Rhoose Point. Further housing growth is very much on the cards.
